Dr. Jennifer Castro
Dr. Jennifer Castro has been with Student-Athlete Academic Services since August 2004, and currently coordinates the Supplemental Academic Support Program. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Wyoming, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and staying to earn her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education. She then went on to earn her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in athletics, from Michigan State University. At Michigan State, Jennifer worked with injured student-athletes and taught four years of Substance Abuse and Educational Psychology courses. For 2 years, Jennifer worked at the UC Davis Counseling Center, primarily with student-athletes. Jennifer and her husband Charlie have a daughter, Mariah.
