Erin Bridgewater has been with Student-Athlete Academic Services since August 2014. In her role, Erin is an Academic Counselor for Men’s and Women’s Indoor Volleyball and Women’s Rowing. In addition to her advising responsibilities, she also assists with student services and she is the main point person for projecting, maintaining, and submitting APR and GSR documents.
Prior to her role as academic advisor, Erin was Executive Assistant to Senior Associate Athletic Director, Dr. Magdi El Shahawy. Erin’s role also included APR/GSR coordinator and she served as a member of the ACT (Athlete Career Transition) program as well as the Personal Development Committee.
Erin initially came to USC in 2014 as a graduate intern in SAAS under Heather Bell as she completed her master’s degree in education at the University of Washington in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership.
A native of Bay City, Michigan, Bridgewater was a four-year letter winner in diving on the University of Michigan’s Swimming and Diving team, competing in 1 and 3 meter springboards as well as platform. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2014 and completed a master’s degree in education of intercollegiate athletic leadership in June 2015.
