John Mosbach
Assistant Athletic Director, John Mosbach has been a part of Student-Athlete Academic Services since August 2006. In his current role as Director of Athletic Academic Advising, John’s primary responsibility is to serve as the lead administrator of the academic advising component of SAAS which includes direct supervision of the 7 full-time advisors on staff. Within this role he also has academic advising responsibilities covering Women’s Lacrosse, Football: defensive backs, linebackers, and specialists as well as the oversight of the department’s Former Athlete Degree Achievement Program.
Prior to joining SAAS, John earned a Master’s of Science in Sport Management from The University of Tennessee in 2006. While at Tennessee John served as the football graduate assistant in athletic academic services.
John graduated with honors from Wartburg College in 2004 earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and Sports Management. During his time at Wartburg John was a 3 year letter winner on the most successful football team in school history accumulating a record of 38-6, earning conference championships and playoff berths in 2002 and 2003.
John currently resides in Hermosa Beach but enjoys the occasional trip back to the family farm in Whittemore, Iowa.
