Dr. Gabriela “Gabby” Dupree joined USC Athletics as the Director of Student Services in the spring of 2025. In this role, she serves as a key liaison between coaches, student-athletes, and campus departments, ensuring comprehensive support for student-athlete success off the field.

Before coming to USC, Dr. Dupree served as the Assistant Director of Residential Engagement at CSU Fullerton. There, she led student leadership initiatives, advised student organizations, and managed the recruitment, selection, and training of the resident advisor team. Her background also includes time as an academic counselor for CSUF Athletics, where she supported the academic and personal development of student-athletes in men’s soccer, baseball, and women’s softball.

A former collegiate softball player, Dr. Dupree draws from her own student-athlete experience to build meaningful connections and provide holistic support to the students she serves.

Gabby is a passionate higher education professional committed to student engagement, leadership development, and academic achievement. She holds a doctorate in educational leadership from California State University, Fullerton, where her research focused on the role of career and life skills programs in supporting student-athletes’ postgraduation success. She earned her B.A. in Chicano & Latino Studies from Sonoma State University.

Outside of work, Gabby enjoys visiting Disneyland, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and spending time with her fiancé, John. She is also the proud pet parent of her cat, Friar Tony Dupree—named in honor of Padres legend Tony Gwynn. Dr. Dupree is excited to bring her experience and energy to USC and looks forward to partnering with colleagues to enrich the student-athlete experience.
