Ricky Coles came to USC in August 2017. He began his work with SAAS as a graduate assistant (GA) for academic advising with Track & Field and Football. He was a GA for about a year and a half until he was hired full-time in January 2019 as the Academic Counselor for Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Volleyball and Women’s Crew.
Ricky graduated with a B.S. in Human Movement Science with a minor in Chemistry from Utah State University. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Post-Secondary Administration and Student Affairs at the University of Southern California.
Prior to USC, Ricky worked with Utah State University’s Kinesiology and Health Sciences Department as a student advisor. He was involved with several campus programs including New Student Orientation, Admissions, Athletics, and was an instructor for a few physical activity courses at Utah State. He was awarded Employee of the Year for the Kinesiology Department and in his final year finishing his B.S. he was awarded Outstanding Student Teacher.
Ricky was born in raised in Utah where he spent most of his time outdoors. In his spare time, Ricky likes to teach dance where he was formally on Utah State’s Dance Company. Fight On!
