Dr. Khalilah Lauderdale serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Student Services since January 2022. Reporting directly to the Executive Administrator, she is responsible for managing all of the comprehensive athletics program’s student athlete-facing services outside of academics and sports.

Prior to joining the Athletics Department, Lauderdale served the Enrollment Services Department’s Office of Financial Aid as the Associate Director of Fiscal & Program Integrity and was responsible for the management of endowed scholarships and athletic awards, overseeing its many essential compliance, donor, and financial aid operational functions.

During her tenure at USC, Lauderdale has provided direction for various initiatives, including her critical administrative leadership in onboarding the athletic department’s Trojan Financial Well-being Program, central administration’s school-wide scholarship management systems, and championing several internal efficiency projects. She is known for her ability to ensure the highest standards of university-facing operational excellence, fiscal integrity, and stewardship of resources. She conducts research at the USC Pullias Center for Higher Education. Before joining USC, Lauderdale served at for-profit and non-profit universities working in finance and administration, advancement, HR, and student services.

Lauderdale earned her doctorate in educational leadership at USC Rossier School of Education. Her dissertation examined the influence of systems on how first-year college students experience financial well-being at a large public university system. She earned her master’s in executive leadership from USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, completed postgraduate work at the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Lauderdale holds state licensure as a CBO and realtor.

Originally from the Bay Area, Lauderdale is the proud mother of three children.
