Rosie Sese joined StEPS as a Learning Specialist in Spring 2016 and has served in her current role as Assistant Athletic Director for Admissions since Spring 2020. She manages all facets of the athletic admissions process for all 21 sports in collaboration with the USC Office of Undergraduate Admission and USC’s Office of Athletic Compliance. She is also an active member of USC’s Asian and Pacific Islander Faculty and Staff Association (APIFSA) and contributes to their advocacy work on campus.
She completed her doctorate in Educational Leadership at USC’s Rossier School of Education where her research focused on athletic admissions practices and effective instructional design. She received her Master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN.
Prior to USC, she spent several years as an instructor and consultant at Lindamood-Bell, an organization best known for their robust and effective literacy programs. She briefly worked as a Special Education teacher at a charter high school in New Orleans and also served as a lead tutor and coordinator for AVID programs in a number of schools in St Paul, MN.
Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, she is happy to be at USC after spending many years studying and working all across the country. In her free time, she enjoys baking treats for family, friends and colleagues.
