Tutorial Program
All student-athletes have access to free tutorial services provided by qualified undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of subject areas. Tutorial sessions are all objective-based and structured to meet the individual needs of the student-athletes. Tutoring is offered either on a one-on-one basis or in a group setting. Tutors work with student-athletes to set semester, weekly, and daily goals in the course they are tutoring, as well as a plan to achieve those goals. They assist in the comprehension of course material, and with the utilization of various techniques based on the student’s preferred learning style. Following each tutorial session, the tutor submits a tutorial feedback form to the student-athlete’s Academic Counselor that evaluates the student-athlete’s comprehension of the course material, provides suggestions for learning strategies, and outlines new grade information.
