Jose joined Student Athlete Academic Services in October 2021 as a Learning Specialist and provides academic support to a caseload of student athletes. Prior to joining SAAS, he served as a Student Life Coordinator at California Northstate University, College of Health Sciences.
Jose received his master’s degree in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from USC in June of 2020. While receiving his master’s, Jose served as a Graduate Advisor for Undergraduate Student Government in the Campus Activities Department at USC and as an Academic Mentor in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at UCLA.
He received a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Child Adolescent and Family Studies from CSU Bakersfield in 2019. As an undergraduate, Jose was a Resident Assistant and Residential Community Coordinator in the Office of Student Housing and Residence Life at CSUB.
Born in Chino, California, Jose was raised throughout the Inland Empire and grew up attending USC sporting events.
