Nutrition is an essential element to maximizing athletic and academic performance. Proper fueling will not only give student-athletes a competitive advantage in their sport, but will also help them focus in class and maintain better overall health. The athletic department nutritionist will teach student-athletes what to eat and how to plan their meals around their busy schedule. She meets one-on-one with student-athletes and conducts team presentations on topics such as how to grocery shop on a budget and various cooking classes. In addition, the nutritionist presents at the New Student-Athlete Orientation and PHED 165a.

In addition, the athletic department provides breakfast Monday-Friday from 7:00am-11:00am in the Galen Restaurant. Stop by for bagels, fruit, nuts, and nut butter.
